Day Sixteen - 15.04.2012
Today was a real mixture of good and bad. When I woke up I wasn’t feeling too great so I didn’t want any of my breakfast. My tummy was poorly and all I wanted to eat was grass - suddenly I regretted all the wrestling Harvey and I had done in the garden that made all the grass go away, now I know why the lady human was so upset when we did it!
As I wasn’t feeling too good Harvey and I went and found the big human and we all snoozed on the sofa while we watched the pointy boxes with men inside go around in circles on the TV. Harvey was being nice to me and he cuddled up with me and the big human and before long we were all snoring.
After the pointy boxes had finished going in their silly circles the humans all started moving things around in the house. The lady human was moving the box that makes the warm air around again and I helped the big human tidy the big shed in the garden. I found all sorts of things in there! So many sorts of balls I didn’t even know where to start!
Once all the moving things around was done the humans loaded Harvey and I into the back of the car and went for a drive to the woods. This was the first time that both of us had sat in the back of the car together and we cuddled up together.
When we got to the woods we had a very nice walk and met some other dogs on our way around. Harvey didn’t like the springer spaniel we met, I think it must have been because she was opening and closing her mouth at Harvey a lot - we don’t like dogs that do that to us at all! I sniffed loads of things, had a run about on my special long lead and Harvey had a good jog about in the trees - we even had a little paddle in the stream!
The humans made me a special dinner as I had been feeling quite sick again in the afternoon, I didn’t feel like eating all of it but I did my best and felt loads better afterwards. Then the big human cleaned my poorly head with the special smelly stuff - it doesn’t hurt anymore as all the stuff has come out of it now so I sit very still and let him help make it better :)
The humans had chicken for dinner again and Harvey and I managed to get a little bit of it as we asked very nicely. After we finished our chicken Harvey and the big human disappeared upstairs for a while, I didn’t know what was going on but when Harvey returned he was naked (no collar), slightly damp and smelled much better than he did before he went up there. The next thing I knew, the big human picked me up, carried me up the stairs and put me into the bath. I’m not very good in the bath as I have trouble with my balance sometimes and the slippery bath doesn’t help with this! Thats why I am quite nervous when we do this! I licked his hands while he washed me, rinsed me off and then we sat on the bathroom floor together while he dried me off.
Afterwards I came running down to find Harvey and show him that I was all clean as well. We were so tired after all the excitement that we got on our beds and after a few minutes of chewing on my favourite chew toy I went to sleep.
